Important Notice: Peer Review Communications Go Digital

by Julie Phipps, WSCPA Manager of Professional Standards

This month, the WSCPA is converting to a new Web-based system for administering and tracking peer reviews.  As we make this change, you will notice a number of improvements that allow for more efficient and effective peer review administration while maintaining the high level of customer service you expect from the WSCPA.

The most significant change is that many of the peer review letters and notices traditionally sent by mail will now be sent by e-mail, allowing for quicker responses, faster processing, and less waste.

Thank you for your support and patience as the WSCPA transitions to the next generation of peer review administration. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the WSCPA peer review administrator, Julie Phipps, at (425) 586-1132 or peerreview@wscpa.org.

Quick Tips:

  • Be sure to add “WA@prcpa.org“ and “peerreview@wscpa.org” to your e-mail safe senders list to ensure you continue to receive peer review information.
  • Keep in mind that confidential peer review information may be sent to the e-mail address on record with the AICPA Peer Review Division for the firm’s managing partner. (Depending on how a CPA firm is legally organized, its partner(s) could have other names, such as shareholder, member, or proprietor.)
  • If you prefer not to receive e-mails, you can continue to receive hard-copy correspondence - Please call me directly to let me know that is your preference. Note that hard-copy correspondence may delay the processing of your peer review information.
