Licensure Information

The Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants is a membership association and does not oversee the licensing of CPAs, nor manage CPA license information.  Licensure is a function of the Washington State Board of Accountancy.

As a courtesy, the links below are provided to assist those CPAs, or future CPAs, who have questions regarding licensure.

RCWs, WACs...What are they? The Revised Code of Washington (RCW) The RCW is the compilation of all permanent laws now in place. The Washington Administrative Code (WAC) The WAC is a compilation of all permanent rules now in force. Rules developed by the Washington State Board of Accountancy regarding the practice of accounting in Washington State.
