Become A CPA

Become A CPA

Are you a game changer?

by Kiyosha Baird, CPA, MPA | Jun 18, 2014

For me, becoming a CPA, Certified Public Accountant, was a game changing decision.

As a young professional, the designation was a differentiator, helping me to establish credibility quickly within the financial profession, accelerate career opportunities and financial rewards, and expand my leadership capacities and professional network.

For example, I have worked with public and private companies, co-founded a youth program dedicated to raising the next generation of business leaders, served as a public speaker through the National Association of Black Accountants, contributed to the Nokia – Microsoft integration, served on the Washington CPA Foundation board, and much more.

The CPA is not just the entry ticket into the profession. It is an investment that continues to provide returns over the course of your career.

So what do you have to lose?

Get involved in your local CPA community and become a game changer.
