When and how can I buy a Season Ticket?
-
The Season Ticket can be purchased year round, however it covers the WSCPA fiscal year from June of one year to May of the next. For example, if you bought a Season Ticket in November of 2009, it would be good until May of 2010. The Season Ticket for the next fiscal year goes on sale after April 15 and is available after you renew your membership.
To purchase a Season Ticket, go to the Season Ticket page in the Education section.
Why didn't I receive a notice of a date/location change for a CPE class?
-
When a Society CPE program or event location changes, registrants are notified by e-mail and by telephone. Please be sure that the Society has your correct mailing address and telephone number by going to
Update Profile or call the Society to change your information at (800) 272-8273 or (425) 644-4800.

-
Substitutions may be requested in writing or via telephone. Fax to (425) 562-8853 or send an e-mail to
CPE. In your correspondence, please include the course title, course date, the person who can no longer attend, and the person who will fill his/her place.
Membership:
I am a new member of the Society and wish to become involved. What activities/groups/committees are available to new members?
-
New members of the Society can become involved through committee participation. These groups cover a wide range of interests from government to not-for-profit to high technology. These groups meet several times throughout the year to accomplish tasks, participate in activities, share information, and network. For more information on these groups, visit the
Committees page. Also, for new professionals (those licensed fewer than five years), look for more information on New Professional activities under
Member Events.
Can I pay my membership dues online? How?
- Yes, go to Pay Dues in the Membership section. Or, click on the dues balance in your logged in home page, MyWSCPA.
How much of my dues can I use as a tax write-off?
-
Payment of membership dues is deductible for most members of a trade association under Section 162 of the Internal Revenue Code as an ordinary and necessary business expense. However, WSCPA estimate that 6% percent of the dues payment is not deductible as a business expense because of WSCPA lobbying activities on behalf of its members. Contributions to CPAPAC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Donations to Washington CPA Foundation are deductible as a charitable contribution.
Can I still remain a member of the WSCPA if I am "CPA Retired" or "CPA Inactive"?
