Endowments & Named Scholarships

The Washington CPA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit foundation committed to ensuring that Washington’s diverse communities have awareness of and access to both high quality accounting education and the resources required to make sound financial decisions.

In order to make our vision a reality, the Foundation funds education and research in the field of accountancy, scholarships for accounting students, programs designed to improve accounting education and expand knowledge within the profession, and initiatives designed to improve the public’s skills in personal financial management. Donors to the Washington CPA Foundation are primarily CPAs in Washington State, their employers and families.

Endowments/Memorial Scholarships

Leave a legacy, memorialize a loved one, support the future - these are a few reasons typically stated for creating an endowment for future scholarships.  Through the Washington CPA Foundation, you can create your own endowment, or support one that is already established. 

The Washington CPA Foundation currently has two memorial scholarships. 

  • The Roy J. Polley Memorial Scholarship Fund
  • The George Waterman Scholarship Fund

Named Scholarships 

The Foundation is seeking to significantly expand accounting scholarships for undergraduates by offering donors the opportunity to name their own scholarship.

There are currently a number of named scholarships in the Washington CPA Foundation scholarship program.

The Washington CPA Foundation is looking for individuals, firms, or companies to help finance a deserving student’s education by contributing $5,000 or more to be granted as a Named Scholarship.  Your contribution may be done annually or, should you desire, as a multi-year commitment.
