Financial Literacy Month is ending with Money Smart Week Washington (4/23-4/30). This is the second year the state has participated in the national campaign. It is being led by Jump$tart Washington, which coordinated with financial education providers across the state to organize a week workshops for students of all ages. Several CPAs are volunteering as speakers for these events. To learn more about the week and see the full listing, click here.
New to Money Smart Week this year are Reading Days. Elected officials across the state, including mayors, Attorney General McKenna and State Treasurer McIntire, are taking time to visit local elementary schools and share the importance of managing your money through stories.
