Facing Homelessness is seeking new board members!

Facing Homelessness is a Seattle nonprofit organization engaging those of us who are housed in actively addressing the challenges of homelessness. We are looking for individuals with an accounting/finance background to join our board.

AMA Puget Sound, Seattle

AMA Puget Sound (AMAPS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, serving professional marketers in the Puget Sound region since 1944. The AMA Puget Sound is looking to onboard a new Chief Financial Officer to its Board of Directors. Cedar River Montessori School

We are looking for a Board Treasurer. Are you passionate about creating a brighter future? Are you looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity where your time and expertise will be respected and harnessed to create positive change in children’s lives, our communities, and the ecosystem? We are seeking creative, collaborative, talented volunteers to help build and deepen our board.

Skills and Experience Desired:

  • Deep knowledge of finance and nonprofit strategic financial planning
  • Specific experience in planning for fiscal stability and growth of an organization
  • Previous board/leadership experience
  • Personal commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Ability to collaborate openly in achieving board goals
  • MBA or CPA preferred

Volunteer commitment: Term runs for three years, with an estimated volunteer commitment of 5-6 hours/month. 90% of this volunteer position can be done remotely if desired. More information is available here.

Arivva Center for Arts & Technology

Arivva is seeking one or more individuals to serve as a Finance Committee Member. This is a volunteer position.

Finance committee members help the Board of Directors to monitor and report on Arivva’s funding needs and its resource management. Members work to assess Arivva’s financial health and the potential risks we may face. Committee members cooperate with the Finance Committee chair, who also serves as our Board Treasurer.

The Max Foundation is looking to fill a Board Treasurer Position.

The Treasurer shall monitor the financial position and results of operation of the Corporation as reported by management, and will regularly report to the board observations regarding such position and results.

Helping Link/ Một Dấu Nối

We are looking for board members with a passion for social justice, advocacy, and community building and the knowledge of accounting, legal, technology, and human services. The time commitment is typically 8-10 hours per month with a 1-year commitment on the board.

Helping Link is a community-based nonprofit serving Vietnamese-American refugees and immigrants in King County. For 26 years, Helping Link has provided information and referral services, and programmings such as E.S.L., technology instruction (basic computer/iPad), and citizenship exam preparation.

Tilth Alliance

A Board task force has gathered this fall to identify potential Board member candidates for an early 2020 election to build on the strengths of the current Board, support our new Executive Director, Melissa Spear and ensure the resilience and future success of Tilth Alliance.

In addition to non-King County and producer candidates and individuals seeking to engage their time, talents and resources in support of Tilth’s mission, we are also in need of Board members with finance, legal, fundraising and food systems experience and skills. Our next election will be held in early 2020 with a slate of candidates to serve from 2020 through early 2022 (2 years) with the potential to serve for up to 3 additional terms.
