Technology & A/V Administrator
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Digital Technology & A/V - 40%
- All elements of A/V support during off-site conferences or educational seminars to include set up, tear down, and day of monitoring and oversight. (Active-at-conference time is expected to be 30 days per year.)
- Ensure that Manager of Digital Production & Technology has all speaker materials before the conference.
- Work with Network/Technology Administrator to ensure smooth running of webcasts and webinars produced by WSCPA including helping plan and communicate the production schedule to all stakeholders.
- Provide online technology assistance during broadcast seminars.
- Monitor webcasts as assigned.
- In coordination with relevant stakeholders, develop and maintain a program to train volunteers to monitor broadcasted events.
- Member of the Technology Team and participate in team meetings.
- Provide moderating services to conferences, webcasts and webinars. Make announcements to the audience and serve as an MC when needed, demonstrating strong verbal communication skills.
- Function as communication bridge between the A/V staff and the event staff, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout events.
- Have knowledge of continuing professional education (CPE) requirements for licensed CPAs and monitor CPE presentations to ensure they meet time and other requirements and communicate with speakers as needed.
- Work with other staff members on technology projects as assigned.
- In coordination with the technology team, stay current on emerging technologies related to A/V, webcasting, and digital education tools, and work with the team to implement process or technology improvements.
- Maintain documentation or internal guides related to digital platforms, recommending updates as needed.
Video Production & Editing - 30%
- Working collaboratively with relevant staff teams and within WSCPA branding guidelines, script, shoot and produce web-based videos to inform and educate our audiences about WSCPA programs and initiatives.
- Work with leadership to establish an annual production schedule for video projects to support the organization’s objectives.
- Develop and manage workflow for video projects including pre- and post- production, review and approvals.
- Prepare event recordings for distribution to approved audiences.
Customer Service - 20%
- Answer phones/voicemails/chat/multiple email boxes daily including Education and Web Tech Issues inbox. Reply to members, prospective members, and public inquiries concerning WSCPA membership and other related concerns.
Other - 10%
- Understand and demonstrate WSCPA culture, values, and attributes.
- Back-up and assist other staff, as necessary.
- Establish annual goals in accordance with society’s strategic measures.
- Create, maintain, and update procedures and Asana position timeline associated with this position, at least annually
- Other duties as assigned.
- Represent WSCPA at community and WSCPA sponsored events.
PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Hybrid work environment: expected to work in person in the office as required.
- Ability to work at off-site locations as needed.
- Reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival at various work sites.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and extended hours during conference days, including move-in and setup the day before events.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One to three years’ experience in A/V and video production preferred
- One to three years’ experience in an administrative and/or customer service role
- College coursework in liberal arts, office applications or related field a plus
- Association or not-for-profit experience a plus
- Experience with online learning systems (LMS), digital broadcasting tools, or webinar platforms a plus.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of and aptitude with video editing techniques and software
- Strong customer service skills required
- Strong attention to detail
- Moderate technology skills and can troubleshoot issues and effectively manage the setup and configuration of technical equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, excellent written and verbal communications skills

- Able to address a wide range of audiences and forums
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications

Compensation: This full-time, 37.5 hours per week position is an FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) Non-Exempt hourly position. The hiring wage rate is $27.00- $29.00 per hour DOE. The full wage range for this position is $26.37- $36.92 per hour.
