We are seeking a Certified Public Accountant with expertise in non-profit financial management to offer volunteer support to our startup non-profit; the Adoptee Mentoring Society ($250K annual budget). This person would work closely with the Executive Director and the Treasurer of the Board to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the non-profit.Key Responsibilities:

·        Financial Planning & Analysis: Assist the Executive Director in detailing the grant budgets, financial forecasts, and strategic financial plans

·        Bookkeeping & Reporting: Working with the bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records

·        Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure AMS complies with all financial regulations and standards, prepare for audits

·        Grant Management: Oversee the financial aspects of grant applications and reporting, ensuring funds are used appropriately and effectively.

·        Financial Strategy: Provide insights and recommendations on financial strategies to optimize resources, increase fundraising efforts, and enhance financial sustainability.

·        Advisory Role: Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Director, and the Board, offering expert advice on financial matters and helping to navigate complex financial challenges.

Qualifications:

·        Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License: Must hold a current CPA license.

·        Non-Profit Experience: Proven experience working with non-profit organizations, preferably in financial management or accounting roles.
