As we are now in peak fire and hurricane season (not to mention tornadoes, derechos and floods), here is a reminder of disaster recovery resources available to you and/or clients, coworkers, and family.

Disasters and Financial Planning: A Guide for Preparedness and Recovery

This comprehensive guide, created by the AICPA in partnership with the American Red Cross and the National Endowment for Financial Education, is an easy-to-read tool for CPAs and the public, with several detailed checklists for both before and after an unfortunate event. Download the guide here.

The AICPA Benevolent Fund

The AICPA Benevolent Fund was created in 1933 to assist members through temporary periods of financial difficulty. The Fund provides short-term assistance for daily living expenses that some members may find difficult to meet due to unemployment, accident affecting personal or family health, medical expenses exceeding insurance coverage, natural disaster or the loss of a primary source of family income. Learn more here. (Must be an AICPA member and meet other eligibility requirements.)
