Whether you have been personally impacted or are helping clients, colleagues, employees, neighbors, or others affected by the wildfires, we're here to support you.

We're compiling resources to help members and their clients navigate the aftermath of the disaster, including information related to:

• Tax relief
• Insurance claims
• Banking and loan considerations
• Other financial issues that may arise

If you are an AICPA member, you may also be eligible for assistance through the AICPA Benevolent Fund, which provides financial assistance to members affected by natural disasters.

Banking and Loan Considerations 

Many financial institutions offer emergency assistance following natural disasters, including payment deferrals, emergency loans, waived fees, or other relief.

• U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has loan offerings for business, homeowners, renters and private nonprofit organizations.
• 2-1-1 Emergency Resources – Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Dial 211 from a landline or 877-652-1148 from a mobile device. Information can also be accessed by texting your zip code to 898-211 from a mobile phone or tablet.
