NPSI is a nonprofit educational organization that has trained psychoanalysts and advanced psychoanalytic education for licensed mental health professionals throughout the Pacific Northwest for many years. Our graduates provide high-quality mental health care to individuals, couples, and families, and our educational mission contributes to the strength of the behavioral health community in our region. The Opportunity We are looking for someone who enjoys helping organizations succeed through sound financial stewardship, thoughtful governance, and practical business judgment. This is an ideal opportunity for a retired or semi-retired executive, business owner, CFO, controller, banker, CPA, or other senior business professional who would like to use a lifetime of experience to support an organization with a meaningful mission. The Treasurer works collaboratively with the Board, the Administrator, and our part-time finance professional. This is a governance and advisory role—not a bookkeeping position. Responsibilities

  • Review and help interpret monthly financial statements.
  • Assist the Board in developing annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
  • Help ensure appropriate financial controls and nonprofit compliance.
  • Report on financial matters to the Board.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource to the Administrator on financial and operational issues.
  • Contribute to the overall governance and strategic direction of the Institute.
